The terra cotta sunscreen maintains a physical distance on all sides to the existing building. Completely transparent, it is screened from the natural light by a shell of terracotta elements measuring 40x40 cm, glazed in carmine red, with a load-bearing structure in paired steel section bars.
This “diaphragm wall,” articulated by the elements' free rotation, acts as a partition between the inside and the outside.
